catbirdseat Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Anyone for Vantage on Monday? Sport or trad, preferrably both. Quote
AaronB Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Don't make fun of me toooooo much, being I'm new to the area, but where is Vantage? Quote
sobo Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 To get to the climbing area of Vantage from Spookaloo, get on I-90 and go west about 130 miles or so. Take the exit for Silica Road, a coupla miles west of George. Bear right after the exit, then take a left at the 4-way intersection, go down the old highway about a mile or so. It will become obvious after that. The town of Vantage is actually on the west side of the Columbia River, further on down the interstate another 5 miles or so. But you don't wanna go there. Quote
whirlwind Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 isn't it going to be raining i was going to be there today tomorrow and tues Quote
catbirdseat Posted February 16, 2004 Author Posted February 16, 2004 I am under the impression that when it rains at Vantage, it doesn't do it for very long. Things dry out pretty quickly there. Quote
whirlwind Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 i suk i didn't make it off the couch today and i don't even have one Quote
catbirdseat Posted February 17, 2004 Author Posted February 17, 2004 Wrlwind, you have company. I didn't leave the house today. I stayed inside did laundry and baked cookies. Finished reading Range of Glaciers. Quote
catbirdseat Posted February 17, 2004 Author Posted February 17, 2004 They are cinnamon current walnut drops with cloves. They are really tasty and would be good for bringing on climbs, because they aren't all crumbly. About half an hour after you eat one, you smell cloves. I guess the oil circulates in your blood or something weird like that. Quote
whirlwind Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 sounds good baker man. still wish i went climbing though Quote
