b-rock Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Anyone have opinions on either of these two skis? Found the 2K3 models on sale. Or is there some sort of 'cc.com' for downhill skiing besides rec.skiing that I could search? Thx. Quote
cj001f Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 There's the Powdermag forum or Teton Gravity forum. Why integrated bindings? Quote
russ Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Here's comments from a subscribed ski review site: Scream 10 Pilot Hot - Much better choice for most skiers (as oppose to the Extra Hot). Fun, lively, relatively forgiving, prowess in carving, accepts traditional technique. Not for fast powerful skiers, but will remain stable up to about 35mph. Scream 8 Pilot - Less demanding than the 10, less stability at speed, requires and delivers less energy, but still a versatile ride for non-aggressive skiers. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 if you're an advanced/expert skier you'd probably get more out of the 10's. Quote
E-rock Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 (edited) Salomon Skis are crap. Nobody buys those fucking things. Edit: Nobody who knows what good skis feel like buys those fucking things. Edited February 11, 2004 by E-rock Quote
cj001f Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Salomon Skis are crap. Nobody buys those fucking things. : Agree with the former - alot of people do the latter though. Quote
b-rock Posted February 11, 2004 Author Posted February 11, 2004 Thanks, never skied on them. Just found them on a pretty good sale. Been lovin' the backcountry lately but need something to ride inbounds so I don't trash that setup. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 that's not true erock. the 1080 is awesome and i have demo'ed a buttload of high-end skis. but i'll go with you on the rest of their line to some extent or another. especially those pocket rockets - freaking noodles. salomon makes great skis to learn on, and for those who aren't that aggressive or don't like to ski crap they seem to work just fine.
