catbirdseat Posted December 8, 2003 Share Posted December 8, 2003 When I was in junior high I read just about all of HP Lovecrafts books. I think my mother tossed them all out when I moved out. I've never been drawn to that genre since. It was very dark and foreboding stuff. Doom was always waiting for us all. A host of unspeakably evil beings was trapped on the other side waiting for someone to let them into our world. I believe one of HPL's stories was made into a movie- The Shuttered Room.
