Lambone Posted December 1, 2003 Posted December 1, 2003 I need to build up an approach ski for ice climbs. Got the skis, need bindings. They need to fit into the welts on ice boots, so a crampon type bail would be best. Fritchis don't work as well I hear. Silveretta 300's would be ideal. Anyone have any leads? Quote
David_Parker Posted December 1, 2003 Posted December 1, 2003 Lambone, what are you going to use for skis. I have silverettas on some 195's and was thinking of putting them on some really short, fat skis instead for same purpose. Maybe like 160s or even 150's. Some dumpster ski that is cheeeeeep! Quote
Lambone Posted December 1, 2003 Author Posted December 1, 2003 Atomic TourCarve Alpin- they are 153 or 163 or something, they are short. My wife upgraded her teles to pretty ones with flowers on them, she skis twice as good now Quote
Alex Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 Colin gave me some old pair of approach skis when I bought his Silvrettas. They are like little kiddie skis, 130s or something! Quote
