I just read that Kenton Cool, Ian Parnell (both UK) and John Varco (US) sent that line on Annapurna 3 that was Alpinist Mags's #1 unclimbed line in the last issue laugh.gif

I met that Kenton kat on Denali in 2002 after he did the second ascent of the "Denali Diamond". He was wandering around the 17K camp trying to mooch "tea and crumpets" from everybody. Who brings "crumpets" on Denali!?!?? Damn limeys...

He told me that his favorite "moderate" alpine route was the moonflower buttress on Hunter. Sure is a sweet looking line, but I don't know if it's "moderate".

Can anyone find/post a picture of the SW ridge of Annapurna III?

It turns out now they climbed the SW ridge, and the Alpinist featured unclimbed line is the SE ridge

So the SE ridge is still unclimbed cool.gif

Still sounds like a cool route though. thumbs_up.gif
