goatboy
Anyone have any recent knowledge regarding conditions of the Stuart Glacier Couloir? Curious if there appears to be continuous snow/ice or if it's still intermittent rock and ice. Any other info is appreciated as well (i.e. what conditions are like on south side approach from Ingalls Pass). Thanks a lot.
JoshK
I would imagine it's pretty crappy. Probably mostly unconsolidated snow over rock and I bet the west ridge rock section is pretty difficult in these conditions. Just my guess.. ken4ord
Well this last weekend, Ice Cliff Glacier looked like it would be very difficult to climb up, a lot of glacial polished slab below the actual glacier. Sherpa Glacier right now looks like it would be a fun and challenging climb. The shrung looks pretty wide, but it looks like it is passable on a rock rib. I don't this help at all, but it is the only side of the mountain I have seen recently.
Lambone
I saw it on Oct 27th from the N Ridge. Thin ice smears looked like they could be linked, and lots of rock. But alot could have changed since then. I'll try to get my photos developed.
