nolanr Posted February 10, 2002 Posted February 10, 2002 Caught a few minutes of the flick last night, thinking how dumb it was these yahoos are chasing deer around in circles, shooting their guns randomly, and the deer weren't high tailing it out of there, just waiting to get shot at some more. But then I noticed, "Hey, there's some mountains in the background." It was fleeting glimpses, but it just had a Cascades feel to it. A little later there was an unmistakable shot of Baker, from somewhere near the Artists Point area. Also a twilight shot looking at Shuksan across Picture Lake. Anybody know they filmed some of that out here? Quote
roger_johnson Posted February 11, 2002 Posted February 11, 2002 You are right. Artist point, you even see Shuksan if I remember correctly. The point about the deer not fleeing and the random firing was it was a reenactment of Viet Nam. If you have ever been in an ambush the first thing you do is get down and then return fire with all you've got in all directions! The hunting scene is the same only different. The Americans in VN did alot of random firing at an alusive target that didnot flee. It was called H&I (harrasement and interdiction). Quote
specialed Posted February 11, 2002 Posted February 11, 2002 Its funny shit. The story takes place in some blue collar factory town in Pennsylvania. They go hunting outside of town and their in the Cascades. Hollywood. Quote
