catbirdseat
Since you asked, there are rules for competitive sport climbing competitions. USCCA_Rules_Handbook
Fence_Sitter
1. Be a current USCCA member  2. Be one of the 1st 180 climbers to sign up for the divisional speed competition via the divisional host gym in their home division!  these? or  1. Be a US Team member -or - be the subsequently ranked eligible and interested competitor (at World Cups where all US Team member slots aren't used). Discounting competitors ranked in the World Cup top 10, the US is able to field 3 competitors per discipline and gender. If slots are available after exhausting the USCCA Big 8 ranking, the USCCA Adult Committee will use other rankings to help determine a person's eligibility (such as ABS, CCR, ICC, PCA or others). 2. Pay associated UIAA entry fees (US Team members are paid by the USCCA). Competitors invited to take the place of a US Team member are responsible for their own entry fees. These fees are due at the USCCA office two weeks after receiving the invitation, but not later than a week before the registration deadline for the event. 3. Meet all application deadlines 4. Health insurance and physical exam as per UIAA guidelines 5. Willingness to sign UIAA Drug Testing Awareness Form 6. Fill out the USCCA Contract and Licensing form. 7. Be at least 16 years of age (on the day of the competition)  these... here i think these were the ones you were talking about...  The use of any knot except a standard figure 8 without back-up safety knot. Smoking or the use of other tobacco products in the isolation, competition or spectator area.  Untying from the rope while climbing (WTF!!?!?)  The use of alcohol or drugs  are these te rules of climbing? i think i have broken everyone of these! Peter_Puget
Readers Digest Version: Â The enjoyment of Trad climbing by men is merely a different manifestation of the same drives that in some men express themsleves as having a homosexual orientation. Sloth_Man
Oh shit! It's clear to me now. Â The reason I like wallowing up hairy assed cracks is cause I really want to wallow in a hairy ass crack. Â Now I've had an epiphany. I'm moving to Capitol Hill tommorow.
