Thrashador Posted June 12, 2003 Posted June 12, 2003 I'm searching for a location on the west side of Rainier and/or the N. Cascades that provides a view of the mountain with a body of water-either lake or river- in the foreground. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Quote

Thrashador Posted June 13, 2003 Author Posted June 13, 2003 Actually I was imagining something bucolic. I should have said that in my original post. I'm looking for a view of mountains, not just Rainier, with some body of water-preferably a lake or river-in the foreground. I'm going to be driving up the Methow, across Washington Pass, down along the west side and then to the Olympics in search of a location. Thanks again for any help. Quote
Alpinfox Posted June 13, 2003 Posted June 13, 2003 Bucolic eh? OK college boy, are you looking for a place to shoot an SUV commercial or something? Cuz if you are.... you suck... and I want a finder's fee. Pay up and I'll tell you where this "ULTRASECRET" place is: Quote
Thrashador Posted June 13, 2003 Author Posted June 13, 2003 Ha, just goes to show what a GED can do for your vocabulary. Much prefer the 2nd pic: nature minus the ass crack. I will buy beers if I stop in Seattle. np. Prolly won't tho. Will be in Mazama/Twisp/Winthrop and then Pt. Angeles or the like. Quote
Thrashador Posted June 17, 2003 Author Posted June 17, 2003 (edited) Thanks for the replies y'all. Never made it to Picture Lake as the body of water idea was scrapped. Found what we were looking for near Cle Elum. Was the first shot posted a view from W. Seattle btw? Edited June 17, 2003 by Thrashador Quote
