Norsky Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Any guesses as to when the Ringing Flake will pull? It's wedged into the corner, but I'd bet most of it is haning out in the open. It's the loosest flake this feller's yarded on. SPOOKY! Quote
dirtwigle Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 Careful, that shit comes off quick. I don’t know about the flake in question but I did pull of the prominent flake on the town crier about five years ago. It was the size of a door about three and a half feet wide, six feet tall and about four inches thick. My feeling is if it is a well traveled route and it is in question it should be cleaned. Quote
TimL Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 Ahhhh, the ringing flake. I think I've yanked, pulled, jammed and used the flake as a foot hold many, many times. Â Although I wouldn't want to bet anyones life on it, the flake is a fairly prominent feature and has been there for many years. I doubt it is a big enough hazard to be cleaned. Plus, it would make the traverse from Iron Horse to Sag really friggin hard. Quote
Norsky Posted February 28, 2003 Author Posted February 28, 2003 Saggitarius is a very well traveled line. What happened to the first bolted anchor below the chimney? One bolt has no hanger? Too soon an anchor for someone. Quote

i suspect that the last previous hanger was took cuz it was homemade? but who knows?  i like moving that flake!!  Quote
HeadSpace Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 that flake has tighted up some since the earthquake, just yard on it. Quote
specialed Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 I heard some folks a couple years back tried to pry that fucker off with a crowbar and it wouldn't budge. So its either never coming off or loosened up for the next time YOU get on it. Quote
Norsky Posted March 3, 2003 Author Posted March 3, 2003 I love yarding on it and having it gently pinch my finger tips! Quote
