Peter_Puget Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 A few days ago when I was lamenting that I could not make the "beta" required number of moves between bolts you clued me into the very cool stick clip. As cool as that is I knew it was only one piece to the puzzle. Now I found the other piece! Dig the built in pulley! A stick clip, one of these 'biners and a pullin' ground crew are all I need! iain Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 ...just quoting the name of the image he posted...I was assuming that is what that thing is called. Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 From those crafty Dynamic Metal Masters, no less. You have to wonder why they didn't use their ingenious captive-ball gate closure thingy on that. Looks like a good one for climbing gyms and hangdogs, though. Think how long your biners would last! PullinFool Posted February 21, 2003 Posted February 21, 2003 Good for the anchor draws (rope side) as well, I would think... Quote
Thinker Posted February 21, 2003 Posted February 21, 2003 I wonder how they'd work in place of traditional pulleys for crevasse rescue? Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted February 21, 2003 Posted February 21, 2003 Probably shitty, they're pretty small in diameter. Doesn't the diameter of the pulley have some impact on haulability? Or does DFA not know the first fuckin' thing about basic fizzix? Quote
