bonathanjarrett Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 Can any of you fine folks give me a current report for the Bugaboo-Snowpatch Col? Thanks, Jonathan Quote

BrettS Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 It was good last week, but melting fast and I don't expect it to be in condition much longer. The two schrunds are starting to open up, and there is a short section of glacier ice down low. The upper section is melted out, with some mandatory loose scrambling. You can rap the upper section with double ropes. I imagine that things are going to rapidly deteriorate over the next couple of weeks. Quote

BrettS Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 I’ll try to oblige if I get a second. Good short trip! Quote
bonathanjarrett Posted August 18, 2018 Author Posted August 18, 2018 (edited) Just got back yesterday. Parties were going up and rapping down multiple times a day. One man got evac-ed because of a rock hitting his leg on the way down. That said, it seemed like rockfall was almost exclusively climber generated. Folks were generally being very cautious, considerate, and patient which was excellent. Edited August 18, 2018 by bonathanjarrett Quote
