WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

question new ice boot and screw recs?

Recommended Posts

Had to take 2 years off so I'm totally out of the loop...

Finally got my foot surgery and a job that I can afford to stop climbing in hand me down Nepal Tops

Any recs for a solid ice boot for various temps in Can Rock, CO, WY, and UT?

also....

It's been forever since I've replaced my BD screws. Sounds like the petzl alpine screws are the shit. any thoughts on new screws?

Thanks,

Mike

I recently upgraded from Scarpa Summits and 23 year old Scarpa Invernos. My particular choices in new boots were based partially on what fit my feet the best so I hesitate to recommend particular brands. I did find Dane Burns' blog posts regarding boots on http://coldthistle.blogspot.com/ to be an invaluable resource while researching all of the new boot options.
