  1. Looking to do Adams, Baker, and St. Helens sometime in the next 2-3 weeks. Looking for climbing partners, flexible on date, weekday and weekends are both good.
  2. Anybody up for bagging Index on Mon June 25? Leave UW at 4 AM (or even 3 AM if you are really adventurous since it starts getting light right at about 4 that would let us hit the trail at 4). I was thinking of doing the Lake Serene route - although never having done it not sure if the pro that should be taken - on the internet some people have said it's class 4 scrambing on that route, other people have said there's a 40 ft section that's a 5.6, other people said roping up is a "good idea". I have a car, gas split would be appreciated!
  3. Hey Kyle FYI I left you a voicemail. I want to do Mt. Index, but that may be far north for you as your'e in Vancouver and I'll be from Seattle - so I propose we could do stuff that's about in between us. A good started could be Eagle Peak, it's one of the sub-peaks at Rainer, it's a good starter a nice 3000 ft elevation gain trail, nothing really too special about it except for the fact that I was doing it this last winter and had to turn back about 300 ft from the summit because I didn't have an ice axe with me... so it's just been a nagging thorn in my side to climb since!
  4. Yeah I will prolly try the coveralls in the woods near my car first... haha I'm afraid to try it in my yard on account that my neighbors will think I'm a nutcase... but I don't really care about comfort, I'm not planning on going luxury camping just planning to sleep the night after a hard, 16 hour day so I'm pretty sure passing out at that point will not be hard. I like the coveralls too because they double as cold weather gear I can walk in at high altitude, so less to carry.
  5. Looking for a fast, easy, lightweight shelter to spend the night outdoors. My thoughts are: -1 Man Tent -Bivvy Sack -My Carhartt Arctic Coveralls - ridiculously warm and water runs right off them, I'd just have to cover up my face somehow... so thinking of what it would be like to maybe just sleep in them? Opinions?
  6. I'm going to be vacationing in Seattle 3 weeks in June and July - I'm also looking for a weekday partner. I got a ton of gear and I'm pretty much up for anything, even though it's gonna be about a month before I get out there.
  7. Hello everyone! I'm going to be in Seattle vacationing from June 24 - Jul 15. Looking to do lots of mountaineering and climbing. Looking to meet some great people to go out with and split gas. Some of my fav spots are Cape Flattery, US-2 corridor (totally obsessed with bagging Index at the moment!), and Mt. Rainer NP. Since I'm on vacation, I'd specifically love to meet people who can do stuff on weekdays in addition to weekends. I've also got a ton of gear.
