Looking for an outing next weekend, Jefferson anyone? I'm in Salem, thinking skin in to Jefferson park, depending on conditions ski into the mountain as far as possible. If conditions are poor, ski some of the other slopes, or I guess there's always Smith. Also open to other suggestions. Thank you for posting your observations. Mtns won't be the same without Grey.

Anybody have more details on Grey's accident? I met him on this site in the fall and got to go on several trips with him. I'll always remember him as the guy who would not miss his 6 o clock jam session every Sunday. You'll be missed.

Anybody interested in climbing 3 finger Jack this weekend? Go in Friday night, be out by Sunday afternoon. Skis are a must, xc or randonee. We skinned up it and skied down new years day. Went up from the snow park near Ape Cave. At that time there was a trail that would've been hard to miss. Snow shoes or skis would be a good idea. If you pick a day with good weather I'm sure you'll have plenty of company.
