  3. Balaclava - Ah, something you wear! Not an Eastern European pastry. Circa early 1970's, Scottish wool balaclava. May be the one that was sold in one of the early Chounaird catalogs but could not verify. Once again I was sorting through my cedar chest and came upon this classic, put away a long time ago. Soft, brushed, long fiber wool. Dark blue. The ragged edge along the opening is not wear but the finished look because it is handmade. Lightly used and in excellent condition. Asking $15.00 plus economy shipping. Paypal preferred but will accept cash or check. Gloves. Size XL - To big for me. A little dirty from bringing in wood but very good condition with very little sign of wear. Asking $8.00 plus economy shipping. Paypal as a gift preferred but will accept cash or check. From the manufacturer: Kinco 901 Gloves. A favorite with ski patrols, lift operators, and maintenance workers nationwide! Features Durable pigskin leather that outwears regular cowhide and fabric ski gloves! Extra "Heatkeep" thermal lining for exceptionally cold days! Reinforcing leather patches sewn with Draylon thread on the palm area and fingers for extra abrasion protection! Pigskin "breathes" so the gloves will dry soft after getting wet! These gloves tend to run a little on the larger side.

  6. Model is the Travel Horizon. This is a full suspension, internal frame pack that converts to travel mode with a zippered back panel that covers over the entire suspension, duel density padded hipbelt and shoulder straps. The front is a zippered panel loader with a separate, large lower compartment for a sleeping bag or whatever. Its about 5000 cubic inches so not a carry on and also not an airport duffle with minimalist shoulder straps and webbing hipbelt for the terminal. Its intended as a travel pack and when you arrive, for treking, backpacking, mountaineering etc. Its been well used but is in good shape. The pack is burly with a double bottom and made of heavy cordura nylon. Size regular with an adjustable Torso Trac suspension to fine tune for different torso lengths. Maximum torso length about 21". All zippers work fine and the main body zippers are #10 coil, heavy duty. Large front pocket, external lashing patches, side and internal compression straps. Comes with a fitted, pack rain cover and the manual for fitting adjustments and features. Asking $75.00. Paypal preferred. Will split shipping cost from 80517.

SRAM, PG 850, 8 Speed Cassette - 11,12,14,16,18,21,24,28 teeth - under 120 miles of use. These parts are being sold because I have installed a 10 speed cassette which requires a 10 speed chain. They are in good shape and will provide many miles of use. Asking $20.00 plus shipping from 80517. Shipping weight 1 lb, 9 oz. Paypal preferred, cash or check good as well.
  8. New England Maxim 11mm rope, 150 feet long. It has only been used for top roping and is in very good condition. No leader falls, no cuts, minimal sheath wear. Its about 12 years old and I have been thinking about retiring it from top roping just because its getting older. Thinking about $35.00 and would split shipping from Estes Park CO 80517. Shipping in a large priority mail flat rate box @ $15.45 or possibly less going parcel post. I would need to weigh it on my scale and calculate the cost. If interested let me know your postal zip code for parcel post cost. Paypal preferred or cash, check

  10. Selling my VE 25 dome tent. 4 season, spacious for 2, sleeps 3. It's about 4 years old and I am the original owner. Used car camping 3 or 4 times. The condition of the tent is as if just purchased. It would be difficult to distinguish from a brand new tent. Except for the white panels, essentially the same as the 2012 model. Same description and has TNF life time guarantee. Love the tent but I'm offering it for sale because it's just not being used. If very interested, I'll set it up and post photo's. Current price is $619.00. Asking $350.00 inclusive of shipping to the lower 48. Paypal preferred, cask or check good as well. A former, potential buyer asked this question: "How do you find the tent breathes in warm weather? I'd like the capability of 3 season use as well-although definitely not a deciding factor". My Reply: The interior canopy is an uncoated, breathable ripstop nylon that allows body moisture to pass into the space between canopy and fly where it can be dissipated by air flow. Besides the breathability of the canopy, there are 2 zippered vents at the center top with mesh that can be opened or closed depending upon conditions. They are aligned with companion vents built into the outer rain fly which also can be battened down. The front entrance has a full mesh bug screen for warmer weather coupled with a full nylon zippered door. Each has 3 zipper pulls for setting the right size opening for ventilation. The rear entrance also has a screened panel but it is a bit smaller. So, with the front and rear door adjustable opening's and the top ceiling vents, there is good cross ventilation and air flow to the rounded peak. The original VE-25 didn't have the ceiling vents. Hope this helps!
