Balaclava - Ah, something you wear! Not an Eastern European pastry. Circa early 1970's, Scottish wool balaclava. May be the one that was sold in one of the early Chouinard catalogs but could not verify. Once again I was sorting through my cedar chest and came upon this classic, put away a long time ago. Soft, brushed, long fiber wool. Dark blue. The ragged edge along the opening is not wear but the finished look because it is handmade. Lightly used and in excellent condition. Asking $15.00 plus economy shipping. Paypal preferred but will accept cash or check.

Price reduced from $90.00 to $75.00. This is a hinged pad and in very good condition. No tears or serious abrasion. The only thing to mention is that one side is a bit faded from sun exposure during a recent trip to Joshua Tree. 36"x48" opened, 4 and 1/2" thick. I bought it about 5 years ago and I would describe its use as occasional, on and off. As far as I can see (feel), the double layer foam has no deterioration or at least not to any appreciable extent.
