pms kukuzckas book is rad. the guy does the first winter ascent on dhaulagiri, gets frostbite on his feet and then hikes over french pass to do the first winter ascent of cho oyu! books hard to come by. its on amazon for 150-200$. I wish I would of bought krzysick wielickis book about doing all the 8000s saw it in rei in 99? but didnt buy it, havent found it since[for cheap]. amazon has it for 315$

Nasty weather, heavy snowfall,and big avalanche county. other than that it should be doable. After I did 98% of it in summer of 98 I was thinking that it would make a spectacular winter climb. havent heard or read about it being done in winter?

the best looking building in kent is a jail, that says alot mark. but we all end up in kent sooner or later

quick story about o-rock, in sept 1988 went in with skis[no axe/pons] on my back and began going up the little headwall,which was hardish snow at the base but soon as we were quite high on it it turned to ice/hard snow.luckily had some steps from a climber a couple days before but still we was scared shitless, as any slip would mean a nasty injury/death. lesson learned

sobo, it was before she married erik. theirs a great interveiw with jeff in 1991, in the book by odonnell? beyond risk. if you can find a copy. also with alot of other top alpinist of the 80s. mpreiss
