  1. Thanks for the confirmation - added a bit more time and effort to an already long weekend, but all in all worked out fine.
  2. A friend and I climbed Stuart this past weekend and apparently did not descend the Cascadian Couloir as planned. Here's our track on the descent - I think we were in Ulrich's Couloir - is that right? Just looking to avoid the same mistake the next time I'm up there in poor visibility. Thanks. 3. Here are a few pictures of the 8-mile fire viewed from the N Ridge of Stuart on Saturday:
  4. I'm guessing they belong to one of the six mounties who were the only other people we saw on Saturday. Hope the hike out wasn't too chilly without your shorts.
  5. Hey Eric, I was looking on craigslist for some stuff I lost and came across this post - guessing it's about your stuff. http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/laf/1769091801.html Hope you get it back, I'll send the guy your e-mail address too. -Seth
  6. It isn't great, since it's such a big city, but I think if you trolled the climbing shops and cafes around the Mariscal Sucre for a day or two you could get a sense if there were other parties out there looking for people. You might meet other climbers acclimatizing on the Illinizas too.
  7. If you do get to Quito and are still looking for someone to climb with, the owner of the Cafe Refugio Montana, Juan Carlos Bastidas, is a really nice guy and an experienced climber. He might know of locals needing a partner or might be interested in climbing with you himself. At the very least his place is a good stop to talk about climbing in the area over beer.
  8. Looking to buy some black diamond 01 telemark bindings, preferably mid-stiffs. If you've got a pair in good condition that you'd part with, let me know. Thanks, Seth
  9. I found a nut tool Sunday, Aug. 30 on the South Face of The Tooth. Let me know if it's yours. Otherwise I'm donating it to a climber in need.
