I'd love it (or a part of it) for knot practice. Also I know some people who rap off pieces rather than pieces of webbing (cant suggest this myself). I've been meaning to also try and make a hammock out of one, the craft projects seem endless.

Sounds good, I have a thursday lab, but otherwise I'm open most week days and probably a 45 minute drive away. I can be there by 2 o clock monday, tuesday, wednesday and some fridays.

so I could make a day sport climbing in the area, but would be better equipped if a trad rack was involved?

I've never been to the pinnacles, is much of it sport or do I need find someone with a trad rack to go with?

Awesome, I've never been there so I'd love to jump on the chance to be shown around, whats the climbing like (sport, trad bouldering? difficulty? rock type?)? I can contribute a full sport rack and lead up to maybe 10b, follow to 11(on a good day maybe) but would love to bum around on just about anything.

I'm open for midweek exit 38 trips now that i'm back at school, anyone?

Truth, i guess the hike isnt too terribly long (read: long at all), dependent upon where they would put in a gate.

Seasons of operation would be a real style cramp for the community that climbs fugs and vantage falls (i think?) in the winter.

What/where are you guys looking to climb?

I'm more than willing to meet you folks out there if you wouldnt mind another on Saturday, though I'd be headed up from the other direction.

I might be interested, what time will you guys be getting out there/what are you wanting to climb? I lead 5.10 sport comfortably and dont have any real trad experience, but would love to tag along (feel free to say no though) David

The needle issue would go away, but the newest issue would be the costs of dumping the dumpsters every two days. Un-supervised dumpsters become a magnet for those who do not want to pay dump fees. Hmm, yeah. what about those dumpster tops that only allow a certain size object in. Cant stuff a couch through an 8x8 hole. I think in tandem with a set of port a johns or pit toilets perhaps garbage's would make a marked improvement.

This might be pretty silly but I'll take a swing anyways. What about trash cans? I dont recall if I've seen any out there, but could it be that by putting in a few trash cans, even the big dumpster kind, people putting things not intended for toilets in the toilets might decline. Seems to me if I was shooting smack, I wouldnt want to pack it in, pack it out with my hypodermics, so into the nearest container they go, but if there were big dumpsters would this remain an issue?

I have a really mellow quarter coming up, so I should be available almost any day except thursday. Also: my floor (though rather small) is always open if any of you folks want to hit vantage or leavenworth and need somewhere to crash. I'm just getting back into climbing, so I'd gladly tag along anywhere someone's willing to put up with/teach me.

require a wilderness pass? or a yearly pass to camp/park in the area maybe? Make it enough to keep up/build some pit toilets and keep hypodermics out of the toilets.

maybe a start would be reasonable camping prices at the gorge. 160 bucks for the sasquatch weekend, YIKES! I'd rather do my business via V5 stem problem in a port-a-john than pay that.
