Fellow alpinists: I am organizing a West Buttress expedition this May and as a part of that, we are taking a custom 7-day mountaineering training class with Alaska Mountaineering School this March. Unfortunately for us (but fortunately for you) 2 of our climbers had to drop out, leaving us with 2 extra spots in the class. Details: -2 open spots -March 11th-18th (7 days) -Arrive in Anchorage at least 1 day early -Our instructors will be 2 lead Denali guides -Focus will be on glacier travel and fixed lines, expedition stuff -Cost is $1000/pp -We will be providing all of the group gear and food, you just need to show up with personal gear in Anchorage. I am definitely VERY interested in these but need to check sizing- I am looking for a Denali boot for next May. I usually ski a 28.5 but I am going to upsize for additional warmth on the big one. I'll let you know once I have a chance to check them out locally. Alternatively, where are you located?- I am in the Fort Collins area.
