  1. FS: Arc'Teryx Gamma MX Hoody

This is a used Arc'Teryx Gamma MX Hoody, XL. It is in really good shape with no rips or tears. It is the version with PolarTec fabrics. Gray chest pockets with dark blue jacket. Normal wear, all zippers etc. work great. Shoot me an email for some photos. $100 shipped.
  2. Bump and price drop on the Westcomb Shell. Great piece! You can PM me on this website if interested.

  4. WTB AT Boots 28 or 28.5

I have a pair of Garmont Axons in great condition. Liner has been molded once, and been out two days. Comes with custom booster strap.
  5. [TR] Mt. Rainier - Fuhrer Finger ski 2/3/2009

Sounds like a great day out. I hope to make it up to the park next month! Nice TR.
  6. New Ice / Alpine boot: Batura or Prime?

Wow. Thanks Dane. That was over-the-top helpful. Plus the link for cheap gear??! Thanks for the help!
  7. Looking for some feedback from some LaSportiva users out there... I use the Spantik for up north and when it gets real cold, but I'm trying to find a boot to use on water ice (most of the time) and trips into the 'pine. I'd like to avoid having three boots (ie, spantik for AK, batura for alpine, and extreme for ice/mixed). I also have circulation issues. It seems like the Batura is the hybrid I'm looking for. Any experience? Can they handle ice/mixed? How do they walk?
  8. BD Ice Screws

I'd like to get in line for these. Building my ice rack! PM sent for details.
  9. Rockered Skis - Verdict?

Rockered skis are for the soft, period. Pow, cut-up, and crud. Any ski that is made at one extreme is not going to be great out of its comfort zone. Would you take a slalom race ski in the crud? I think the answer will be they won't perform well. BUT a rockered ski is totally worth the sacrifice in my opinion. If you have an all-around set of boards adding a rocker would be sweet quiver addition. A good ski with moderate rocker would be the Salomon Rocker or Czar. They only have rocker in the tip which would help your concern with versatility. Go for it. And rockered skis always ski short, so go big!
  10. FS: 42 Climbing holds. Never used. $65

I'll get in line if John falls through...
  11. I'm just starting to get into ice climbing and looking for a partner this winter. I have a flexible schedule, dictated mostly by when it snows (skiing comes first). It would be cool to get out on the rock a couple times before the winter. Should be great fall granite weather coming up. My friend and I are also training for an Alaska Range trip again this year and will be doing a fair amount of alpine. Probably a winter Rainier (prolly Gib Ledges) and a spring Liberty Ridge. Let me know!
  12. FS--REDUCED--Set of 14 Biners

    PM sent on neutrinos...
  13. BD Speed or Sphynx

Just got the pack, and the hipbelt removal is no problem. I've only used it trad cragging so far, but it's been great. I'm glad I got the heavier fabric. Should hold up. Thanks again
  14. Closet Cleaning/ Paying Tuition

    PM sent on books.
  15. Thanks for the advice! I think those sound like a great fit. Maybe we'll do two day trips...
