What's the general opinion about skinning and skiing the Kautz vs the Emmons? I've climbed both, but haven't skied either. The obvious is the diff in elevation hiking from Paradise vs WRC. Thanks.

Hi, My name is Tony. I've been up to Camp Muir or Schurman the last four weekends but the weather has been lousy. This weekend looks good. I was thinking about heading up as well. Have you had any other responses yet? I'd be open to skis or no skis, any route. I've been up the Kautz twice, DC four times, and the Emmons twice. Liberty Ridge has been on the agenda but hasn't worked out yet.

Take the bivy, then on the way down get inside for an insane glisading device...it's multifunctional that way. Yah I know, it's the 23rd already but wanted to my 1 sense,urr, 1 cent.

I was up a the first week of June headed for Liberty Ridge, but needed to get back to work and turned back. I've been up a few different routes a few different times. Send me a PM. If LR is in, might you be interested in that route?

I've been up Rainier about 12 times, but would like to take a shot at Liberty Ridge toward the end of the month (during the full moon if the weather is good). I have done the longer non-aid Classic Climb Routes in Yosemite in '94. Used to lead 5.11 face, 5.9 crack. I have not lead in awhile, but am getting back in shape. I would like to get up Slesse in September.
