  1. Used to make martial arts equip a little ways back.Bought a cheap used Newhome.probably 1960's regular sewing machine.I explained to the dealer what I was doing with it and he grabbed my vinyl tripled it and grabbed a army canvas type belt and proceeded to go back and forth with great ease. May be old stuff but the steel gears versus nylon now is the ticket. Gave it to my dads new wife which alters clothes and she still uses it 20+ years now.
  2. I got the version with one arm only, but as you can see I have some extra time on my hand
  3. I enjoyed the links also.Very enlightening. Thanks Hemp22. But what is the "RPN" Kletterhund?
  4. It looked pretty sweet when I thought of it and set it up but the main issue is safety.I'll think of something else to do with the dogbones I'm sure. Hey,just noticed I got upgraded to Journeyman on this post
  5. Wanted to know if this was safe.Fairly new to trad and building my rack still. I have Camalots and just bought some Helium 20cm quickdraws since the price was cheaper than individual binerers.Since now I have the extra 10mm wide dyneema dogbones could I girth hitch the 20cm long dogbones to the short loop on my Camalots and rack with the helium, this way I could use short and add a runner or extend full length =12.5" thumb loop to rope end of biner. My buddy said the 10mm dyneema would cut through the Camalot loop when girth hitched. Can I do this safely or is this a dumb idea.
  6. And at the bottom of article it states: The tests involved 82 couples married within the previous six months. Good long term study since my relationships only last one night anyways.
  7. I'm thinking for size and shape, one of the Casio Z cameras. I had a Z-120 and it was awesome pocket camera with a great zoom and did video pretty well. Some of the other cameras mentioned are probably much better in some ways but for a point and shoot, stick in your pocket and go and traveling lite this is the way I would go.More in line with your Sony Cybershot style.I have a large digital also but don't regularly climb/hike with it.My Casio was ALWAYS with me till someone liked it better than me at a crag.Like just last week.I'll get another Casio this week.
  8. Any news on the new guidebook? Spring is just about here and anxious to get his new book.
  9. Southwest has tickets for 89 bucks or so.With all taxes and fees mine came to 99 even. I'll be down for the Rendezvous and a bit more.
  10. Heck if people want to put some topless shots up I'll give em my E-mail Thanks Sherri and Matt If they go through the videos they'll find a crude start to a sword form done with a 2 foot chunk of pvc pipe since my living room isn't that high.Crude and embarrassing but I gotta practice.
  11. March 2 08 Sunshine wall.Camera turned up missing off of ledge on the wall with Air guitar route.Hope it mistakenly got placed in someones pack on accident.Hope to see it again. Red Rock pics and some climbing video at the Edgeworks gym.Black case.
  12. Hi Eric Hope your ankle is back to 100% now. I see a weight difference and I thought in the pics on various site they were a bit pointier, but the pics are so small. If they are the same shape I guess the only consideration is the slings and your degrading strength issue is interesting.
  13. Looking for your opinion on best guide book for the areas. Vantage,Tieton,Smith, etc. Several to choose from sometimes. So what's your favorite.
  14. Want some tricams in the smaller sizes.Just starting a modest rack.I can get the new anodized or the older style at the same prices. Is newer better.

  16. Hi Eric I see that you've just started setting pro.Pretty much like me,so don't know if it's a perfect match. Was looking for someone with a bit of experience to do trad with.Sport may be good though.I'll know when I'm going by Sunday.
  17. My partner flaked on me.Looking for 6-10 days or so. I will be doing the clinics Sat and Sun. but can be down prior to the event or after. I've led sport to 5.9 but have placed very little pro. Have a beginning rack but have usually only followed. Was down in RR last November for 8 days and did 7 pitches and under. Gym climb mid 11's but that's the gym only. Still a novice so need a bit of guidance for RR.
  18. Yosemite is out for me now.Buddy of mine says not real great this time of year yet so will be more Red Rocks time.

  24. Just in case Aussie69 doesn't get back to you in a timely fashion. He's going with buddies to Smith.
  25. Right on Porter.Way cool Thanks guys for your posts on little climbs.Keep posting them and we could have a list of lite hikes for those that are less aggressive. I know my daughter will enjoy these also since she uses Mt. Si as a bench mark. She wont go up Si with me again,so anything less than a Si hike would be good.
