I've seen a lot of comments about how voting for a minor candidate is "a wasted vote." I think that's bullshit. The American political landscape has plenty of dead parties that once held much influence. The republican party and democratic party, as we know them, won't last forever. There are 3 other parties in this election that are on the ballot in enough states to gain a theoretical chance of actually winning the national election: The Libertarian Party, the Constitution Party, and the Green Party. Voting for someone who is not LIKELY to win is NOT the same as voting for someone who CAN'T win. Voting for a minor party that doesn't have ballot status in enough states, and can't POSSIBLY win the national election (cough cough Nader) -- now THAT is a wasted vote. Just my $.02. Actually, I think it was more like $.03. Keep the change.

OK, maybe these questions have been asked before, but whatever. First of all, how many of you have ever actually fallen on a screw? Whenever I place one, I always think "yeah right." Which leads me to my next question. I understand the mechanics of a good cam in good rock. But, what keeps a screw in, anyway? Is it the threads? Or is it held in by the same compression mechanics as a picket? Or is it both? One more question, while I'm here. What's the story with the angle of a screw? Some people tell me to place it perpendicular, some say to angle it down, some say to angle it up? WTF.
