  1. Nice report John. Thanks for the great trip!
  2. Hi John, Congrats also on the Black Peak climb this past weekend. Sounds like you guys had a great trip. My "Carl Lewis" sprint from a rattler at Tieton nickname seems to have stuck. I just posted a pic in the gallery taken from the 4900' level. This may be Destroyer.
  3. Climb: April Peak-Via South Fork Tunnel Crk. Date of Climb: 6/17/2006 Trip Report: Jeff and myself headed out Sat. to attempt "The Nun". We loaded up with two ropes (the Climber's Guide mentions a 120' rap)and limited climbing gear. At the base of the Nun it started pouring so we headed toward April summiting around 1:00 pm. The snow was in good shape, the visibility was sketchy, the rain was non-stop. We were soaked, but in good spirits. Gear Notes: Ice Axe / shoulda had Umbrella
  4. Me and a buddy had a close encounter last spring on the way to the columns. No one was bit, and no snakes were slain, but I did get a nick name out of the encounter.
  5. The road is open to the Washington Trailhead. On route 1 the upper "Schrund" is open and deteriorating rapidly.
