  1. Oops... Anyway, I think it's still a mental game no matter how hard the route is. True that difficulty can seem to take over more at higher grades but it's even more mentally challenging to make your body go for worse moves on smaller/harder holds. For me what made a difference was climbing with people who would push me harder in a good way. Exapmle "Let's see who can redpoint 10 new 5.12s (or whatever) this season." To me it's more fun to try harder if you have a motivated partner. Oh yeah, real rock makes you climb harder. Gym 5.12 is way easier than rock 5.12, go outside more!
  2. Yikes! A Grigri would work a little easier and be a little safer, you know, as safe as you can be while doing something that dangerous. I've seen it done very efficently, but I don't recomend it because a Grigri or any self belay system can't haul you back to the car after a stray rock hits you on the head. But good luck anyway!
  3. fourtunatly for my lesbian lover my fist is detchable so the rest of me was in the bar BWHAAA-HA-HA-HA I almost fell out of my chair, what a visual that gets!

  5. Yosemite trip, and the California wine country. Sometimes it's just good to get back to your roots. Anyone ever been to Goat Rock? Small but supreme ocean side boulders mmmmm........
  6. Yes, master Kenobi. I serve my master well.......
  7. I'm not really worried about names and stars and all, I just don't want to be confronted by someone who might be all like 'this is my route and my project' or something. There is some pretty dangerous looking fall potential out there. Thanks for the gear tip though, I always travel with a rack anyways just in case.
  8. Sorry to those who think I'm letting the cat out of the bag. Just pm me with info or for discussion. With the kind of work that is going on out there it's going to come out sooner or later but I'll try to keep it quiet. If only a few people know, then I guess I'll see you out there.
  9. Hey, I'm looking for route info on this crag. I was out there the other day and noticed some new bolts. Anyone?
