  1. Welcome to the PNW! I'm looking to expand my available partner pool this summer, and am also an ICU nurse with tons of weekdays off. I'd be interested in anything granite like Index, Darrington, WA Pass mostly in the 5.10-5.11- range. Keep me in mind for this summer. Alex
  2. I work three 12-hr. shifts a week in Bellingham and usually prefer to climb weekdays to avoid the crowds. I have a 2- and 4-year old at home and so I'm limited as far as availability, but I will probably be getting out about once per week at least to Index this summer/fall. Also focused on WA Pass area this season. Been climbing 13 years, solid on mid-5.10. Looking for more long-term partners. -Alex alexkowalcyk24(at)gmail(dot)com 2-five-3-224-22-one-5
  3. I'm in Tacoma, heading to Index partnerless on Wednesday. My truck's clutch is being replaced at the garage tuesday, hopefully it will be done so I can get to Index Wednesday. Anybody want to rope up? Weather looks iffy rest of the week, this would be my only day to climb. I onsight 5.10c. Will otherwise be climbing with my silent partner.
  4. kinda short notice, but does anyone have tomorrow free to go up and do something alpine rock. anything is better for me than not climbing. 5.4-5.10? we can go up tonight late, sleep at TH and hit it car-car. I don't have time to do multi day camping approaches. got the car, rack, rope, and I'm fit. Anyone have off and want to climb tomorrow? Or if not up for alpine, know anything worthwhile that's north facing?
  5. Who wants to go? I'll be there by 11:00 am.
  6. Hey all, my name's Alex. Just moved to Tacoma, and been aching to get on some rock during the WEEK. Ideally Tue, Wed, Thu. Index, Darrington, Leavenworth, Wa. Pass all look good. Previously climbed a lot mostly in Colorado and Utah. Lead mid- to hard- 5.10. Got a rope, rack, and some weeks a car (share it with my fiancee). I like cracks, granite, and multiple pitch. Up for alpine stuff too, as long as there's rock climbing involved. Alex Kowalcyk -- alex@performers.net twomusesentertainment.com
  7. T-storms are most common mid-summer. August the storms become later each day, and by early September they are pretty infrequent, but by then you better bring hand warmers. Casual route is mostly right-facing corners and sees little sun in late season. http://www.totalclimbing.com/page.php?pname=rmnp&mode=view
