  1. Lie, cheat, and steal. Near as I can tell, that's the modern definition of moral values. Oh, and "don't get caught", that's #1.

BFD i'm not going to sell it nor distribute copies. they got my $$ when i saw it at the theater.

are you telling me that you've never burned any music/software/etc.?

  2. You dudes are gonna wait all day for the show and watch commericals the dvd is like 15 bucks canadian at rogers, bunch of cheapos

nope. i will watch it commercial free (public tv!)...and will end up with a copy for future use.

  3. i'm not trying to dismiss the progress made with clean fuels, clean business, clean etc.

i'm saying it's ridiculous to attribute this years clean air to the republicans. the article clearly states that it is the result of specific weather patterns.

i do have to give shrub sr. one prop for passing the CAA, but on the whole republicans advocate easing pollution regs.

i consider this year's air a lucky break.

i consider the clean air advancements an improvement.

but this is not a success story.

  4. ...air in the Los Angeles was the cleanest on record this year, regulators said Thursday.

Still, the region's air quality remained the worst in the nation by one key measure, said Sam Atwood, a spokesman for the South Coast Air Quality Management District.

pp, is this what you consider a success story?

  5. The people who cast their votes on election day (or mail their absentee ballots on that day) have up to date information with which to make their decision. In this case, I don't think any new information has been revealed, but it does sometimes happen.

    1. how is this any different than someone who casts their ballot at 8pm?

    2. aren't they going to wait until the last polls close (hawaii) before revealing presidential election updates? i vaguely remember something like that from the '02 debacle.

  6. You don't know what an armpit of a place is until you visit New Mexico.

Milwaukee, WI (possibly the ugliest place I've ever seen)

Butte, MT (#1 EPA Superfund site, lots of unusual diseases and birth defects)

    Most of NJ

East St. Louis. Ugly and dangerous.

Some town east of LA. The air smelled/tasted like the air from a bicycle innertube.

    wichita, ks...absolutely no redeeming values

  7. In four debates, there was exactly one question about the environment.

    That's bullshit.

    Indeed!!

I understand that the war and the economy is on the forefront of most minds, but considering what this administration has done/is doing there should be a hell of a lot more concern!

  8. it's legal...

Fred Neal, Voters' Pamphlet supervisor for the secretary of state, said such ballot argument pranks have happened before. His office can't yank such a statement unless it violates state law, which bans "obscene, profane and defamatory language" or words that "incite hatred, abuse or violence."

while i applaud M. Dennis Moore's entry's, if this tactic is abused it could make the voters pamphlet a serious pain in the ass to read.

    article

  9. my comment was not referring to politicians...they open themselves up to the microscope voluntarily. They should all be flogged for opening their family up to the same.

i was referring to dickheads like parlock (left, right, whoever) who put their young, defenseless children in a position to be verbally (and potentially physically) abused by an angry 'mob'. how f-ing inconsiderate of the childs psyche!
