I go to Mex fairly often for work and fun and seriously man, avoid using the tap water until you can start melting snow. It would really suck to come down with something because you did something like brushing your teeth with bad water.

Also personally found SLC to be a dating bonanza, unlike my Seattle experience.Uuuum. My only conclusion is that you must be really weird or a chick.

OMFG TLG lives!!!
I've got a set of K2 8611's with Dynafit Tourlites and they were sweet all of last season in CO and on the volcanoes this spring/summer. The lightness factor is great for climbing, but not so great for skiing. I'm stepping up to some fat skis with Fritchies(sp?) so I can be a total guber with a ski for everything and no$$$.
if I was going to have one set up only I would get fat skis with bomber bindings. Have fun Gregg.

Plus skiing at this time of year allows you to post mutliple versions of a picture of yourself skiing in shorts.

OK freshie-addicts.
I just scored a pair of K2 AK Launchers and I want to put a pair of bindings on them that are bomber enough to handle jumps, drops and lift served skiing, but still let me skin up hill.
I've got a lightweight set up (K2 Ascent 8611's with Dynafit bindings) which I will still use for long back country days so I don't really care about the weight for the AK Launchers.
I'm thinking Frischiti (sp?) but I would like some other advice.

One of the mags, R&I or Climbing I#m not sure, did an article with Peter Croft on the area last year. Looked like endless crackville. If I remember right they said that most of the stuff is still waiting for FAs.
