Exactly my point!

Have an 89 4x4 Toyota w/ about 115K .. so reading an 98 .. seems a tad high. No big problems to date (thankfully)! Have had to replace muffler, agree w/ Terrible T ... Also note about the clutch, check your clutch reservoir .. fluid could be low!

A little jaunt up Si yesterday revealed a silver object glimmering on the haystack … thinking "it couldn't be!!" .. Yup! A closer investigation revealed someone had placed a single bolt and the kicker is it's about 2" from a nice ~ 1" crack above a ledge!! Uh, what the hell is that about?!!! I'm certainly not opposed to boltin', but I draw the line on "bolt" protecting (trad'able) cracks??!!! Anyone have more scoop on bolting of the Haystack? If there are plans for establishing new routes, I'm sure they'll be uber classics … nice single pitch climbs, w/ a lovely 4 mi approach. Or maybe the boltin is for winter when the haystack gets all Scottish- like! Yeah, alpine style and bolts!

Any snow left in approach gully/coulior for the W Ridge route?

The Prophets seem to have a sort of Luv Hate relationship thang. People either tend to one or the other, I've found depending on hand size. I never really liked the way they fit in my hand, but others LOVE it, as they fit like a "glove"!! Picks are great, head and shaft I'm not too crazy about. But that's my pointless HO
