  1. 6pm, my house 6127 NE 12th ave, 97211. The tallest part of the wall is 15 feet, so doing the math on an 8 foot ladder means you'll be exceeding OSHA regulations. But 8 is better than 6. I need no other equipment. Oh yeah, mattresses - I'm collecting non-urined, indoor mattresses. You know the type.
  2. Wednesday or tonight would work well. Otherwise, I'm stranded until the weekend. I've gotten two rows of plywood up (8ft) and have two more rows cut to fit, teenutted and ready to be attached. Heck I even got a couple holds on the wall.
  3. If you're looking for garbage at the base of the climb, then yes, my garage has it. Blackberry bushes, used diapers, cat spray, and I'm sure if you dig enough, used-condom-surprise. The former homeowners did not subscribe to garbage collection services. Of course I'm cleaning it up, with some help from The Access Fund. /end hijack
  4. One of my more-humbling moments, Duke: fall off the 5.8 (or was it 5.6?) first pitch, walk up the last 5.9 face pitch. I'm glad there was a face pitch to show you the meaning of climbing.
  5. Since this is where all the PDX climbers hang out, I couldn't resist a little highjack - garage climbing in Portland
  6. Hey, this is the Nat who ran the Oly gym from 1997 to 1998 as Capitol City Climbing Gym. If that means nothing to you, never mind. I'm in Portland now and have a new garage wall in need of crankers. Some of the old gym holds are on the wall! And yes, it's steep. If anyone wants to climb, let me know. Or if you have any suggestions as to folks I should talk to, please let me have 'em. I've tried to get into the PRG scene, but I couldn't find enough love. -Nat
  7. I did not ask for opinions of my plan, nor did I ask anyone to try to convice me otherwise. For me and my party, doing it in any more than three days is not an option. Therefore, I am still looking for information regarding conditions both this year overall, and this coming month in specific for a fast traverse. Including information about specific peaks to climb along the way is helpful. Thanks, NAT
  8. I'm interested in doing the ptarmigan traverse this (late) summer in 2 or 3 days. Are you guys talking about a 3-day traverse, or am I reading wrong? If so, how are the conditions this year for such a push? Is there any other places to read up on advice for this type of attempt? Thanks, NAT
