  1. Wow, suddenly a lot of interest. The boots are sold--thanks. Good luck to everyone in finding the boots you need.
  2. price drop again--$250 takes them. This is an absurdly good price--surely someone is going somewhere cold!
  3. For reference: I upsized these on purpose, and they worked fine for me. My foot measures exactly 45 on the Brannock device. I wear 45 in the LS Baltoro 2.0, 45 in Scarpa ice boots, 44 in Birkenstocks, 11 in Chaco, 46 in most running shoes, 41.5 Mythos (nuts, huh?), UK 10 in Blundstones, 44.5 in Shimano road shoes, 45 in Sidi MTB shoes, etc. I'd say the Spantiks are pretty much true to size.
  4. Nice photos Billy! It was cool and unexpected to see you guys there. It looks like you guys took better advantage of the unsettled weather than we did! Perhaps John(Jedi) will chime in with a TR from our trip (he took all of the photos!). evan
  5. I won't be doing anything big & cold for a while, so I'm hoping to pass these along to someone who has bigger plans than I. Excellent condition Spantiks, size 46. You know them because they're on the feet of just about anyone climbing technical routes on high mountains. They are incredible, period. The only damage i can find on these is a small cut on the back of the neoprene gaiter part from an errant front-point. Otherwise they have little wear. The liners have NOT been cooked! How about $350 $300 to start. I am motivated to see these used by someone with the time and motivation to climb big routes, so make an offer!
  6. Nice work. I climbed the Cassin back in 2006 with my friend John (Jedi on here), and it remains my best and most intense climb ever. You have much to be proud of, now and forever.
  7. i'm that friend. i put it on ebay, but CC.com has a policy against linking to auctions. you can search for hilleberg on ebay, and it will show up. just under 3 days left.... thanks, evan
  8. ok, i´m here and ready to climb. email me if you´re in town and interested in just about anything from pisco to tualliraju. climberevan..at..hot(you know the rest)
  9. i'm looking for someone to join me in peru from mid june through july. i'll be leaving from LAX and hope to do some more technical routes. i'd love to visit la esfinge (big wall), and am pretty open to any ideas as well. i'm on the road climbing until then, and would prefer to climb with a prospective partner sometime before june. i'll be in the indian creek area for another week or so, then meandering toward the Valley, where i'll be until early june. evan freeman
  10. I'll be heading to S America this summer and need partners. Goals include technical routes in Peru and Bolivia. In the fall i'll be going (back) to Nepal and India, and would love to find someone whow could join me for some ski mountaineering. Northern India has some unexplored areas that just beg to be skied.... Interested? email me at climberevan(at)hotmail(dot)com
  11. rambo II pair, adze and hammer. evolution picks in good shape, razor sharp. includes 'free' leashes. $175 obo--must sell!! evan
  12. thanks for the tips--i've researched the conditions, and it seems that june-aug are the prime times for good weather. i've not found much stuff about the avy danger there, but i imagine it's more of a maritime-type climate than the san juans. so--who wants to come with me???
  13. i'm planning a trip to Peru and Bolivia this summer, and need partners. my goals are mostly technical routes with little focus on altitude, though i'll probably try to knock off a couple of 6000m peaks. i'm especially interested in spending some time in the Quimsa Cruz region of Bolivia. i'm currently located in telluride, co and plan to leave for this trip in june or early july, depending on the partner situation. i'm open to all sorts of people and ideas. evan freeman
