  1. I've mostly been doing scrambling stuff this year, so I'm not up for anything too intense. If I was leading, I was thinking of the old standbys like the Becky Route or Cave Route or the Southwest Rib on the South Spire. One day, I'd really like to do the NW corner on the North Spire, but I'm not up to leading the 5.9 pitches at this point. The NW face of Kangaroo sounds interesting. Kane - you and I would be fairly close logistically but you're definitely climbing harder than I am right now.
  2. Anyone want to meet at the Pass this Tues or Wed? I'd be coming from Omak so if you live around here (fat chance) we could carpool. I'll lead 5.8, ten years alpine climbing.
  3. check your pms
  4. I'm based out of Omak til August 1st and since I'm a school teacher, have lots of midweek free time. Anyone up for something near Liberty Bell this Thursday? I'm game next week and the week after for pretty much anything up to 5.8 in the mountains if I'm leading, harder if you are.
  5. And I'll be in Washington all summer... (duh)
  6. I'm living in Mexico City but from Omak - Eastern Washington. I'm mostly into Alpine Rock routes (north cascades), but I mostly just like to be outside. I'm hoping to work about 0 days from June to August, so let me know if anything works. 10A trad climber a little harder on bolts.
  7. When I lived in Connell, I would head up to the Potholes once in awhile. It's mostly short (and crappy) rock routes, but I found one really neat ampitheater with perfect basalt columns - short enough to boulder on.
  8. Hey y'all up north. I just wanted to put a post out saying I've moved from Wenatchee to Mexico City. There is great rock climbing down here, and high mountains as well. Most rock is basalt and lots within an hour and a half of the city. If anyone wants to climb down here, let me know. Also, looking for a partner for Portrero Chico during our Spring Break - April 8 -16. It's been 80 and sunny for about three months now.... Randy
  9. I was there three weeks ago and the weather sucked! Had just finished the fifth pitch of online and it started pouring. We rapped down, came back to Wenatchee and realized there wasn't a cloud in the sky in Eastern Washington. FUN climbing though!
  10. When I was there in 1995, you could buy blue gas canisters. I don't know what kind they were, but when you screwed them into the stove, the canister would puncture. If you weren't careful, you got a major gas leak and the canister froze. We took them up Huayna Potosi, so they worked at altitude.
  11. Give me a call, bp. I'm good to go.
  12. bp, I sent you a pm, but who knows if it went through. I'm up for most anything. Weather on this side looks good. I'm a big Darrington fan as well, but it's a long ways from Wenatchee for bad weather.
  13. I'm also looking for a climbing partner. Same days. Was hoping to go to Smith, but really just need to get out of Wenatchee. All this free time being a teacher is kind of rough.... Peru....Anyone?
  14. Hello. Another teacher here on Spring Break. Anyone from Wenatchee area or somewhere nearby want to head to Smith from April 4 to April 7 or so? Too far to drive by myself. Randy
