dru, appys are a specific breed. the spot pattern common in appaloosas is present in a few other breeds but does not occur in most. sure it's theoretical that spots could occur in any breed based on a random genetic mutation but when was the last time you saw a thoroughbred racehorse with spots? but back to the subject. guns are bad and should be kept hidden from view i still stand my assertion that if horses should be extinguished from the landscape then so should all domestic pack animals. further, i still believe that humans are far more destructive than horses. i'm pretty sure that horses don't burn fossil fuels or leave plastic in the wilderness

i've spent years starting young horses for the racetrack, showring, and people's yards. i've never used the word broken to describe the process. i've also never needed to use spurs or whip to accomplish it. a little sensitivity goes a long way. i've also spent a lot of time undoing the damage done by abusive riders. it's another living being not an inanimate object that can be replaced by a quick trip to walmart. it's either a partnership or disaster. it's up to the person to conduct themselves as the more rationale partner

i'm pretty sure that humans have destroyed as much horses have. i've never seen a horse pave anything

and that's why i thought you'd get it if you think it's about spurs and whips, you need a bit of educating but whatever. it's not your thing. wilderness use of horses is an interesting topic. for a very long time feral horses were part of this country's landscape. the damage caused by domestic horses and their inconsiderate owners is a different matter and clearly needs to be more carefully considered by the powers that be. other pack animals are problematic in terms of introducing foreign vegetation.
