  1. I left my rope + rope bag near the base of the GNS access chimney Thursday night 6/12 (packing up in the dark), and it was gone when I returned Saturday morning. 6-pack for the good samaritan that picked it up!
  2. Kent and I left work at 4. Climbed Repo Man and fell off Mambo Jambo a couple of times. Anyone have the old photocopy guide of Exit 32? If so you should scan it and post it! That would rock!
  3. Speaking of Exit 32, where's the guidebook? I used to have the old Burdo photocopied pamphlet but an ex-GF threw it out. Could someone scan it in and post it? That would rock. There are actually quite a few cracks up there, but I can't remember where they are, except for the Repo Man ones.
  4. Ok, nevermind. I figured it out. Duh. The trick is to slide the tube over just the first two nubbins. I was trying to slide the tube all the way over the end of the black piece, and it just wasn't working. Back to work everyone.
  5. I disassembled the bite valve for cleaning and now I can't get the f**king thing back together correctly. Anyone want to take a digital pic how it should be assembled and post? (I'm being lazy and trying to avoid a trip down to the Rei.) I tried to find this information on the nalgene website, with no luck. I would think they would have a FAQ called, "How to get your f**king bite valve back together after cleaning." And, yes, I did read the packaging that instructed me to look closely before disassembling the valve. Sigh. Thanks, -jp
  6. Does anyone know anything about these cams, or ever used them before? Judging from the picture they look similar to WC Friends. 1.5 and 2.5 for cheap, cheap, cheap. (They're visible on the second page at the link below.) http://www.rei.com/webservices/outlet/DisplayPromotion/HV0109_1_1?prgm=hv
  7. projecthex, I got your PM, but when I try to reply, I get a message that I am on your ignore list. Unless you had second thoughts (my reputation preceeds me?) contact me at jpbrastad at hotmail dot com. -jp
  8. A few years back when I did the standard route on Hood my partner had an angle measuring thingee and declared 38 degrees of slope in "The Chute." That was in a May with a quite of bit snow.
  9. Anyone interested in checking out Chair Peak or the Tooth this Sunday (2/17)? PM me if you're interested. -jp
