IS there a type of knot that can be used to tie string or cord around the corner or a tarp, or sheet? I thought I recalled seeing a diagram, but cant think of the name. IT would work when there is no grommet or tie-out place on the corner of a sheet.
THANKS!
There is. It's called a "sheet bend" ...
Check out this guy's page on Improvised Seating With a Towel and Para-cord for it in use to make a hanging chair.

Get on I-405 and drive to Bellevue. Look for the 4-story building with the chemical formula on it, between NE 8th Street and NE 12th Street on the west side of 405. The printers you seek are in there...
Hmm. Are you just teasing? 'Cause I can't picture this building from memory, but I work about 5 minutes from it!

I didn't either. Thanks!

I was skinning around Gold Creek with some folks on Sunday. I wish I had known people were climbing ice over there - I would have looked at lot harder to check it out. I was wishing I had brought my binoculars anyway. Thanks for the photos. Looks and sounds like you had a great day! The weather certainly was on good behavior. :-)

I do see a passport in the photo.

I remember paying a fee in Colorado that would cover my rescue helicopter if I needed to be evac'd from the backcountry. I think tt was like $30 for a year or two, and I was quite happy to pay it.

I have not yet been assimilated into the hive but my method is to take it to the laundry and use a commercial front-loader with a SMALL amount of Woolite.
I second the commercial front loader. I think it's like $3.25 or something to do a wash. Then hang it at home to dry. Gets it super clean!

I find that when I increase my training, I get sugar cravings now and then. I eat a lot of veggies, but little or no fruit. I just started to add one piece of fruit a day to my diet, to see if that makes a difference. I'll go for it for 2 or 3 weeks, and see what happens.
fruit is full of sugar - but it's not bad sugar. i think the key to reducing sugar in your diet is getting rid of the bad sugar and soda is one of the worst things you can ingest. i hardly ever drink soda anymore ... unless it's root beer and i pretty much only drink that when i'm eating pizza or having a root beer float. i'm obviously not a "diet" person, but i do watch my bad sugar intake and aside from my root beer weakness, i avoid all other drinks that contain corn syrup - which is tougher than it sounds. it's true that once you stop ingesting a lot of processed sugary foods that you will start to lose your cravings for them. if you start trying healthier options, you'll eventually find some things you like that will fulfill your sugar needs. i found i like the dried mango slices (without the added sugar) at trader joe's - so much goodness in a little bag!

Petzl Double Ropes

I use the Roca Migu (certified as both half and twin) ... but I can't remember using any other doubles so I can't really offer a comparison. Mine are 60M ropes, but you can get them in 70M lengths as well.
