  1. Scotty, not to harsh on you too badly, but diamox, come on. It's 12K feet. HAPE, I would not expect this from someone like yourself who has been up much more challenging peaks, such as Mt. Si, Tiger Mountain and the like.

    I am truly dissappointed. [Frown]

and as far as diamox working to alleiviate the effects of AMS, I do not beleive it works as a preventative if taken before going to altitude.

although you could use your prescription to Viagra.... [Eek!][Eek!]

  2. I heard the rumeor of the Alki also, interesting...I also heard the Lovely Stephanie will make a guest appearance(especially if Dwyaner shows [big Grin] )

ps. anyone heading to L-worth, lets hook up, I will be there sat and sun....

  3. I will also have to abstain from the festivities in the T-town this week, i have to go the Alki for burgers [Confused] I have been drinking most of the day and can't in good conscience go to Tacoma, drunk, and drive home, drunker....

  4. I was wondering what kind of helmets that people have gotten for thier kids, for climbing. Most climbing helmets have been too big for my son, so I have been making him wear his bike helmet. I guess the reason I ask is I want him to get in the habit of wearing a helmet, even when the chance of rocks or falling is small.

Is there a good kids climbing helmet?

    thanks,

    sean

  5. On and off sprinkle in l-worth all day.

clamshell cave and hammerhead rock, dry, but crowded, several large groups on all the easy stuff.

placed some gear on top rope, tested placements, most were pretty bomber!

all in all a good day, topped off by some entertainment of a first time drunk at the restaurant bar, glad we weren't with her, and several cold ones.

yay, shoulda gone to squamish. [Mad][Mad]

  6. I have a little dog story, I was cooming out after summitting Baker, down the RR grade and there was a doggie. I held out my hand for the obligatory doggie hand sniff when the elderly owners cautioned me that the dog is not that friendly. 1) the dog was not leashed 2) the dog was running well ahead of the owners. 3) I didn't get bitten, but the dog was obviously acting in an aggressive manner.

I ripped into the old couple and told them that it was irresponsible to bring an unfriendly dog, off a leash, onto a public, heavily travelled trail.

    In short, that sucks.

  7. I heard a vicious rumor that there might be some climbers that I am aquianted with going to squamish. I would love to meet up with and or give rides to some of the aforementioned climbers. Please pm me.

  10. Wait until your buddy falls asleep, put his hand in warm water....

    Then piss all over him...

(him can be substituted with her for political correctness, but I personally wouldn't pee on a girl [big Grin] )
