  1. Thanks forest and lowell, thanks for the inspiration.

Here's a taste of a few pics. I have over a 1000 and haven't even begun to look at them all. Ha. But I think my 14 lbs of camera gear was worth it! Well, it was lightened since I lost my night photography gear. If you are in McMillan Cirque, I'd be stoked if you'd pick it up (kidding, but serious it's next to this boulder where I slept. It can't be too hard to find, right :poke: ).

  2. Right on. I do like that lookout.

I was just staring at your night photography of Three Fingers Lookout (very cool stuff). Over the weekend, headed up there for some skiing. I'll tell you what, three fingers lookout is wayyyyy more snowed in, but very cool nevertheless.

The times I've been to winchester it's been buried over the roof. Doesn't look like much snow there now. Sure nice not to dig so much I bet.

Oh, the night time views from three fingers over the weekend were awesome as well!

  3. This is very sad news. It is always terrible to see anyone lose their lives, no matter the circumstance, but when it is the passing away and/or missing of mountain brethren, it is made all the more difficult.

Best wishes from Tacoma to all family and friends.

  4. Wait for lowwwww snow to get up there. You are pretty much starting from 500 feet (can't remember exactly). You take a turn off a overgrown road and then head straight up, tending slightly climber's left as you get higher, then you hit a pass and drop down to the s pickets.

Glad you guys liked that old TR. It was an amazing trip. I want to get back there soon.

There's a lot to do out there!

  5. Just did that traverse. It was great! I didn't think it was bad, but could've changed fast I guess? Still, if the lake isn't melted out, I see no reason it couldn't be done. Compared to washington standards the travel up there was a piece of cake.

    TR from my trip.

I was up there april 28th to may 2nd climbing and skiing.

  6. Nice work! Where are everyone's skis? That lower part looks like it could have provided some great turns.

I don't have a set-up yet. Yes, the conditions were great for it!

Yes they were...thanks for the boot track :)...a most excellent ski.

I sure wish that summit had a bit more snow though. Everything else, including the couloir, was a great ski though.
