AARON1
Can anyone tell me if there is still snow at the Elfin Lakes trailhead and what the conditions are like farther up the Mt. Planning on going up this weekend and doing some skiing.
snoboy
No, not at the t.h. (2nd hand info) and not sure how far up the trail the snow starts.
PaulB
I did the Neve Traverse on May 1. We had to hike for about 20 minutes (it's probably further now) from the Diamond Head parking lot to reach consistent snow on the road. Once we got on the snow, there was plenty of it all the way across the Neve.
rtholmes
Headed up the NE Face of Garibaldi yesterday via Brohm Ridge. Snow level starts at 1150m by that approach. The glacier above was fantastic and the ski out was great. The snow was rapidly softening below ~1800m in the afternoon. --reid
ronin
The BC Parks May 14 trail update says that the snow starts at 2 km on the Red Heather trail. Check out http://wlapwww.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/garibald/trail_updates.pdf.
