Cascade River Road Closure - April 3 to May 13

Notice: The Cascade River Road will be closed at mile 7 (Lookout Mountain Trailhead) to all vehicle and foot traffic from April 3 through May 13 while Skagit County completes culvert and bridge work at Hard Creek (mile 12). Vehicle, foot, and bicycle traffic will not be permitted during this time. Beginning May 14 through May 25, 2016, drivers may experience up to 20 minute delays at the construction site.

 

Anybody who's seen this before have info on an alternative approach to the Boston Basin/Jberg area?

In terms of an easy trail Stehekin is an alternative. Otherwise you'll be doing a longish traverse.
