I am looking for partners interested in attempting Manaslu or Cho Oyu in the Spring of 2016. I had originally signed up to go to Cho Oyu this fall with Furtenbach Adventures but with the earthquakes the Chinese have closed the Tibet for the rest of 2015. Manaslu was an option this fall but it seemed like way too many people were going there since that seemed the "easiest" Nepal option this fall after Cho Oyu closed.

For the Spring of 2016 I am looking for more of a logistics only with a few extras type expedition. I am well aware of dangers presented on both peaks especially Manaslu. I am open to both options for next spring but I assuming with Cho Oyu being closed for all of 2015 there will too many people there next Spring when it opens again. There should be a lot less people on Manaslu with the vast majority of people going to Cho Oyu and Everest.

I already have price quotes and options but I am looking for some solid teammates with the experience, mindset, and attitude to try something like this. Whether there is success or failure on either of these peaks I think as long as we all come back healthy it would be a once in a lifetime experience to see the beautiful culture of Nepal/Tibet and try and see how we do on either the worlds 8th or 6th tallest mountains. If interested feel free to send me a message.

Thanks,

Ryan

I'm in the early stages of planning an attempt on Manaslu/cho oyu. Possibly with another climber. We were looking at fall climbing season though. PM sent

Hi my name Jordan and I am going to Nepal April 14th 2016 to attempt either Manaslu, Cho Oyu, or Shishapangma. I have been to Nepal twice, but never to a an 8000m peak. I have also been to Denali twice. I have not found any partners yet and was surprised to see your post. I have already bought my plane ticket, but just need to find some people to go with. I really like the idea of Manaslu. It would be cheaper and easier to handle the logistics. What amount of experience do you have and were you planning on using a guides basic service costs?
