JoshK Posted March 20, 2003 Posted March 20, 2003 BD makes some gread headlamps I think. Most of them are too heavy for my taste, but they seem to be good stuff. Quote

We got lots bad that were simply "dead," the Tikkas that we got back were usually semi functional at least. And the numbers were overwhelmingly in favour of the Tikka. There have been some really bad Tikka switches, I'll agree with that. But the good ones rock. You must work at MEC or REI because more people who return stuff there eirther abuse it or don't know how to use to damn thing so they return it because the batteries are put in wrong... Secondly all the switches suck I mean all of them.. Have you ever used an aurroa how can you talk bad about something that you have never used for an extend. And I am not talking about playing hide and go seek in the dark at your outdoor store that is not considered an extended trip. Go back to your snowcone one again Quote

OK, this will be my last post on this (I hope) cause arguing about which shitty plastic $30 LED headlamp is better is about as pointless as can be. They both do about the same damn thing. I do, however, have to take issue with this one comment. Being able to change the angle of the light and simply moving the source of light are entirely different. Quote
snoboy Posted March 20, 2003 Posted March 20, 2003 My forehead is angled therefore as I slide the light up it points further out... Of course I can't seem to get it to shine straight into my eyes like the Aurora does when the bolt loosens up... Quote

Any way, why would it matter where I worked? We sold both headlamps, and the PT ones had a higher rate of return. Pretty simple I think. If they can't stand up top abuse, then there is something wrong with them isn't there! I guess I got the one good switch that Petzl made I can't say that I have used the Aurora, coz I haven't. When something seems that bad in the store, why would I want to take it out, when I already have something that works fine??? Quote
