Kitergal Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Heading up there this weekend for my birthday and bringing some rather inexperienced friends with me.....hey....it's my birthday, and I wanted to spend it climbing....I figured this is as close to getting them on a real mountain as I would get! Anyways, crampons? Ice axe? Snow shoes? Skis? Hiking boots? Glacier boots? What's it like up there this time of year? How much crap am I gonna need to let them borrow & rent from REI?? Anyone been up there recently?? Quote
Kitergal Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 And yes....I got us all permits....just because they don't know what their doing....I kinda have a clue! Quote
Dchromey Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Hey I haven't been up there for a month but expect snow. I don't think you would need mtn boots for this climb. Snowshoes will likely not be needed. Bring crampons and ice axe just in case it gets icy up on top. Climbers bivouac has not been opened yet so you will be starting at marble mtn snow park. No snow there so don't bring skis Quote
