The next step: Taxing Aircraft flights in Britain

A royal commission on pollution in the UK is recommending a tax on airline flights and ending airport expansion to limit air travel. This is in keeping with the UN's climate folks reporting that air travel is endangering the earths climate. So while you're glaring at SUV's on the road, don't forget to do your part and stop flying.

I guess the next time we have a worldwide cold-weather cycle, we will subsidize the airline industry to build more planes and fly them.

With talk about United going under, it looks like the companies dealing with flight/planes are just trying to survive. I do not think we need to tell them to slow down; the economy is doing that very well.
