Kevlar trigger cord on the Black Diamond X4?

So I recently watched a video on the Black Diamond X4 Cam coming out this next spring. At 1:47, I noted the 3 largest sizes used cord instead of a metal wire. I went back to the original BD video and found a few brief shots of this. Previously, I had not noted this issue. So BD is taking something from Metolius huh? Interesting...

I have been using weed wack wire in lieu of usual wire in broken wire repairs. Some have been on for 10 years with not a single sign of cracks. IMO, the kevlar trigger cord is an improvement over metal cables but second best to weed wack cord.
