Check out this short video of Leavenworth local tall guy Aaron Scott climbing Rainbow falls last winter. Rainbow falls video Edited January 14, 2012 by lancegranite Quote
sobo Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Damn, that was some pretty bulletproof ice from 1:45 to 2:05, eh? Quote
Dannible Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Cool! Not that it matters, but I think that was the the winter of 2009-2010, back before the days of global warming when ice practically grew on trees. Bulletproof ice maybe, but also light alpine tools and tired arms. I was the belayer. Lancegranite- I met a guy who you work with (from Colorado I think) when I was in Talkeetna back in May. They were trying to climb Mt. Hunter. Small world. Quote
lancegranite Posted January 15, 2012 Author Posted January 15, 2012 Dan, Time flies I guess. I have some footage of you leading the other line that day but it was not from the best angle. Will put it together and shoot you a link. Thats funny, he told me about meeting you guys on the glacier. Quote
spionin Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 great video! you can just see the guy probably going "damn you, stupid arm!" around 1:55, trying to get a placement Quote
