Manolissimo
Hello all, I am looking for one or more partners to climb Rainier this weekend. I have done several climbs already (Dragon's tail, Sauk, Persis, a few peaks in Glacier, etc). Let me know if you are interested.
Andesite
Not sure what route you plan to take. We tried the Emmons-Winthrop route two weekends ago. The weather was excellent. Getting into Camp Schurman was a bit tricky. The usual route was blocked. You have to climb above it then circle around and drop down in. Above Schurman, deep sun cups through the Corridor made for slow climbing. Ultimately, we got turned around at about 12,600 feet, unable to find a route around crevasses (or perhaps simply unwilling to cross thinning snowbridges). There was only one other team on that route that day. They didn't summit either. As much as I enjoy solitude, a few more teams on the route would have made me feel a bit more comfortable. Those willing to assume more risk may have been able to summit that day. We'll try again, next spring.

KaskadskyjKozak
You can take the DC. We descended it on 9/11 and it was a flagged trail with no difficulties. There were two crevasses with fixed ladders over them.
