dooitup Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 Trip: Mt. Thompson - west ridge Date: 8/14/2011 Trip Report: 7.6 mile and 4.5 hour hike to ridge lake where we camped. Next morning was rainy and foggy but cleared up on the 1.6 mile hike to base. 4 hour rock climb to summit and back to the car at 10:30 pm for a 12 hour day. kukuzka1 Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 hi, nice job. when i climbed it in 2000 after the 1st pitch i when a little right, then up a short step. then a little more right to a face with a crack in it. i climed this which i thought was solid 5.8+ with a wide crack near the top. did you do this or stay on the ridge? beckys description is confusing at best?[no offence fred] Quote
