Dave7 Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Looking for a couple of people to head up the DC over the holiday weekend. About me, strong, fit, have experiencing climbing on rainier, had to turn back twice because of conditions. PM or email me if your interested. leydetd@gmail.com Quote
Gardner Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 (edited) am interested in climbing Rainier again this summer - but not all that excited about doing so over a holiday week-end. Crowds up there are already bad enough as it is. Are you open to getting a team together on different dates? Gardner I have summited Rainier and several other NW volcanos. Sent you an email. Dave7 Posted July 22, 2011 Author Posted July 22, 2011 shot you an email back!! hopefully we can get something going! Quote
bfiles Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 I would be interested if it is possible to push back as far as Sep 8-14. Let me know if that is even in the realm of possibility. I've climbed several NW volcanoes, non-volcanics and a touch in AK. Quote
TRoth Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Sent you an email. I do agree about the holiday crowds. I go up to get away from people haha Quote

About me, strong, fit, have experiencing climbing on rainier, had to turn back twice because of conditions. PM or email me if your interested. leydetd@gmail.com Perfect timing for me. Do you have transportation to the mountain from seattle? Quote
Dave7 Posted July 23, 2011 Author Posted July 23, 2011 transportation shouldnt be an issue...I'm looking to push back the dates possibly a little bit to avoid to holiday crowd. I'll keep you guys updated! Quote
TheNumberNine Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Timing is a little tight for me... Lets do a different/cooler route....? (with less people on it) Quote
asong Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I am interested too if we take a different route than DC. I summited Rainer via DC last year. This spring tried Gib Ridges twice without sucess. Summited Denali this June. Quote
Gardner Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 (edited) I'm good to go on any of the following dates: August 16-19 and 22nd -Sept 15th. Still think it best to avoid Labor Day and week-ends in general if possible. Have all gear needed including 60 M rope. Looking to go up a couple of times if the opportunity presents itself - and/or climb another peak as well. Anyone, interested, drop me an email at Gardner@coldkerins.com. I've been in Siberia for the last year and need to climb! Edited July 28, 2011 by Gardner Quote
Dave7 Posted July 28, 2011 Author Posted July 28, 2011 Gardner - I emailed you back All - barring any changes in my class schedule, I am planning on taking 10 days off in September (15-25 or so) to climb rainier and some other peaks (baker, shuksan). Let me know if this works for anyone and they want to join the adventure! Quote
